Running

I like the feeling of my lungs burning with the wintry chill of the air I suck in. Your limbs let loose, the cold wind against your face. And it hurts, but the pain is good, because everything else melts away. You are running away from, running towards, battering down your demons with every footstep that hammers down onto the pavement.

And at the end of it, you feel released.

  • a swell feeling.. sadly not applicable when one is hurtling to class, having woken up 10 min. before the start time #&q@%$! :]

  • Love the refreshing feeling of running outdoors during the winter time. But I like to know that am running towards a hot bath at the end of it all, not (as with Steve) an hour on a cold hard lecture hall bench.

  • i'm not usually a fan of running outdoors in winter, mainly cos even breathing hurts. but there's something about running outdoors - the immediacy of your surroundings, the sensations of your pounding feet, your hair flying madly in the wind, that makes me feel so alive. way more satisfying than exercising in the gym.

today i could feel my legs aching from the jogging yesterday, and that's such an amazing feeling. i feel like a couple of hundred thousand dollars. :-)
